Dr. Traci Baxley is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Social Foundations: Multicultural Education Program Area. She received her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with an area of specialization in Literacy. Prior to higher education, Dr. Baxley proudly served as an elementary classroom teacher in the public school system. Her research interests include Multicultural Literature, Critical Literacy, Racial Identity Development and Urban Education. Her service and scholarship focus on developing partnerships with under-represented groups in the schools and the community.
